our philosophy

At Khemet Botanicals our mission is to create all natural bath, body and aromatherapy products that promote physical and emotional wellness.  Our company was built on the concept of total  wellness, which was adopted from the Kemetians (Egyptians).

The Kemetians believed that plants had healing power in their spirit.  The embodiment of that spirit was the essential oil extracted from the plant. 

The aromatic oils were used for therapeutic massage, perfuming, embalming, conditioning and healing the body (Ba), mind (Ba'Na) and spirit (Ka).  During this time, the Kemetians perfected their use of aromatic oils for beauty and healing.  They made no distinction between perfumery and medicine (healing). 

Thus, nature and science in harmony for total wellness.  We proudly embrace this African tradition enjoyed centuries ago, when the miraculous pyramids were built and lavish gardens adorned the hillsides.
